COVID-19 Resources

We are working diligently to keep our COVID-19 resources as up to date as possible by adding informative resources as they become available.

Faith Leaders,

There is a new Vaccination at Home program available to your congregation!
In an effort to reach those individuals who may have difficulty leaving their home to receive a vaccine, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, in partnership with the Piedmont Triad Regional Council Area Agency on Aging, has set up a call-in number and web form through which anyone can request that medical personnel come to their home to provide a COVID vaccination. That phone number is 1-866-303-0026, and the web form is here. Requests will be answered within 3 business days.

Please inform your Care Ministry staff so they can share this information with any individuals that may have difficulty accessing a vaccine.

Some people may not feel ready to receive the vaccine at this time. Additional resources for answering questions they might have are below:

  • Piedmont Triad Regional Council FAQs about the program
  • Top 10 list– some key pieces of information about the COVID vaccines
  • Vaccine FAQs– frequently asked questions and answers
  • Vaccine 101– longer presentation with more comprehensive information

Questions regarding specific medical considerations should be asked of a healthcare professional.

For more information please contact Patrick Brown (patrick.brown@dhhs.nc.gov), Adrienne Calhoun (acalhoun@ptrc.org), or Rebecca Freeman (rebecca.freeman@dhhs.nc.gov).
