Listen! The wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts.” James 5:4

Screen Shot 2014-02-24 at 11.02.30 AMMany faith traditions call us to support farm workers – some of the most exploited workers in the U.S. – and their efforts to improve their lives. Putting Our Faith into Action: Supporting Farm Workers in North Carolina is an opportunity to learn about farm workers’ struggle for justice and how we can support them in their efforts to gain dignity on the job, better pay, and safer working conditions.

Farm Labor Organizing Committee (FLOC) President Baldemar Velasquez will provide an update on FLOC’s national tobacco campaign and summer organizing efforts in North Carolina. Representatives from regional groups will share their upcoming activities and more information about Farmworker Awareness Week.

National Farm Worker Ministry invites you to gather with people from various faith backgrounds to find out how you can participate in the farm worker movement happening in North Carolina.

For more information contact the NFWM National Office at 919-807-8707, info@nfwm.org or

Sponsored by: National Farm Worker Ministry, United Church of Christ Justice and Witness Ministries, North Carolina Council of Churches and the Farm Labor Organizing Committee
