Overdose Awareness Day 2021: Beyond Naloxone

August 30 - August 31

Join North Carolina Survivors Union and Faith in Harm Reduction for a 2 day event in observance of Overdose Awareness Day 2021. On August 30, faith leaders will lead a spiritual ceremony to honor lives lost through the calling of names, the creation of various types of memorials, and a lantern release.

On August 31st, participants will call on leaders from around the country to move “Beyond Naloxone.” Participants will hear from public health and harm reduction experts on drug checking, overdose prevention sites, and methadone reform drug decriminalization/legalization.

Our Partners in Health and Wholeness initiative is a co-sponsor of this event.
